Kaitautoko hapori are available to whānau at some medical centres (GP clinics).

Kaitautoko hapori are qualified to support whānau with:

  • Solutions and guidance to reach health goals

  • Support to navigate the health system

  • Assistance to access the best services

They excel at supporting whānau in the areas of emotional wellbeing, exercise, healthy eating, quitting smoking, living with long-term conditions (eg diabetes) and more.

Where can I access a health coach?

Kaitautoko hapori work from the following locations:

  • St Lukes Health Centre in Whakatū / Nelson

  • Manu Ora Medical Centre in Wairau / Blenheim

  • Stoke Medical in Stoke, Whakatū / Nelson

  • Picton Medical Centre in Waitohi / Picton

Whakaurunga paearu | How to access

If you are an enrolled patient at one of the four medical centres listed above, then you can ask to see a Te Piki Oranga health coach.

You may also be able to see a health coach or health improvement practitioner at your medical centre, who is not a Te Piki Oranga kaimahi.
