  • Te Piki Oranga Limited 281 Queen Street Richmond, Tasman, 7020 New Zealand (map)

New online referral system for whānau wanting access to Te Piki Oranga Māori Health Services

The new website has a clean uncluttered design, improved functionality and enhanced rich content focused on the Company's mission to provide health services to Māori.  Health providers and whānau can now sign up to health services provided by Te Piki Oranga through its new website that goes live today, March 7, 2017 and is located at the address: http://www.tpo.org.nz.

Te Piki Oranga is a kaupapa Māori primary health provider for Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka o Maui (the top of the South), who has been delivering services since establishment in 2014.

The new website provides a snapshot about the following services, before guiding people to the online referral form:

  • Diabetes, Cardio Vascular Disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)/Asthma, Cancer
  • Cervical screenings
  • Mental health
  • Addiction services
  • Outreach immunization
  • Health Promotion/Education
  • Te Matapihi/Suicide Prevention Education
  • Te Hā / Smoking cessation
  • Well child / Tamariki Ora

On the website, people can also sign up to the quarterly Te Puna our e-pānui – there’s a quick link on the home page to enter an email address to receive news and updates.

“It is important to us that accessing our services is easy – for health providers wanting to refer whānau, as well as whānau wanting to self-refer. The online referral form goes directly to the hub that whānau want to work with and we get in touch within 72 hours of getting the form. Referral forms can also be printed and sent to us, but we envisage the online system will be the easiest way for most people interested in how we can help,” Anne Hobby, Tumuaki- General Manager Te Piki Oranga.
