Te Piki Oranga is the regional Māori health provider delivering health services across Te Tau Ihu, working in a Whānau Ora framework and “Te Ao Māori”.

Te Piki Oranga is looking for a permanent full time  Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Clinician. You will work closely with DHB, other ministries and NGOs. Experience working with Māori whanau is an advantage. This position is based in our new Blenheim/Wairau office in the health hub.

 The purpose of this role is to:

  • To provide a recovery oriented community based assessment, treatment and therapy service that is accessible, integrated, coordinated and responsive to Māori/whānau needs

  • To liaise, facilitate and advocate with Nelson DHB Clinical Services and other organisations in relation to; crisis responsiveness, risk identification and medication management, managed withdrawal, psychological and other interventions

Desirable qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse or Allied Health professional with PG Dip in Child Adolescent Mental Health

  • Experience in mental health working with children

  • Ability to handle stressful situations effectively and respectfully

  • Knowledge of Te Reo me Ona Tikanga

  • Good communication skills.
