Pukenga Manaaki - Whānau Ora Navigator (Motueka)

Te Piki Oranga is a regional Māori health provider delivering health services across Te Tau Ihu, working in a Whānau Ora framework and "Te Ao Māori".

Te Piki Oranga is looking for a permanent full time (30-40 hours) Whānau Ora Navigator.

The position will be based at our Motueka hub at Te Āwhina marae and service Motueka and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be supported by a larger Kaupapa Māori Health team of nurses and social workers.

Te Piki Oranga provides services in the community, the purpose of this role is to:

  • To provide a support service that is accessible, integrated, coordinated and responsive to Māori/whānau needs

  • To liaise, facilitate and advocate with appropriate organisations on behalf of whānau

Desirable qualifications:

  • Ability to handle situations effectively and respectfully

  • Knowledge of Te Reo me Ona Tikanga

  • Good communication skills
