Te Piki Oranga is a regional Māori health provider delivering health services across Te Tau Ihu, working in a Whānau Ora framework and "Te Ao Māori".

Te Piki Oranga is looking for a Whānau Ora Navigator to cover 26 weeks maternity leave.

The position will be based at our Motueka hub and service Motueka and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be supported by a larger Kaupapa Māori Health team of nurses and social workers.

Maternity cover is needed from 5 November to 3 May 2019. The hours are flexible and are for 20 hours per week.

Te Piki Oranga provides services in the community, the purpose of this role is to:

  • To provide a support service that is accessible, integrated, coordinated and responsive to Māori/whānau needs

  • To liaise, facilitate and advocate with appropriate organisations on behalf of whānau

Desirable qualifications:

  • Ability to handle situations effectively and respectfully,

  • Knowledge of Te Reo me Ona Tikanga, 

  • Good communication skills.
