Te Piki Oranga is a busy regional Māori health provider delivering Māori health services across Te Tau Ihu (Nelson Marlborough). This is your opportunity to work in child and maternal health.
We are looking for a PART TIME REGISTERED NURSE, 16 hours per week or two days, as negotiated. The position will be based in Blenheim and service Blenheim and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be part of a larger Kaupapa Māori team and work alongside an experienced Tamariki Ora nurse. Training can be provided.
The purpose of this role is to:
- Provide community based and mobile health services to pēpe/ tamariki (0-5yrs old) and their whānau as outlined in the "Well Child Framework".
- Ensure that all pēpe/Tamariki, whānau/individuals have a comprehensive assessment, goal setting and plan developed.
- Work alongside Te Piki Oranga nurses, general practitioners, specialists and clinicians to improve the health status of pēpe, tamariki and their mothers.
- Work in a Whānau Ora framework and "Te Ao Māori".
